Super Therm Case Studies-
- FACT:Vodafone (AT&T type in Europe), largest telecommunications company in the world, Engineering Study resulted in 52% reduction in KW usage which is dollars and cents on your TOTAL utility bill. This was from only coating the roof.
- FACT: CCSD (2nd largest school district in US) Engineering Study has roof temp reduced from 161F down to 97.5F (2 degrees over ambient) in Las Vegas.
- FACT: Dept of Energy Specialist for Florida study showed moisture block and air flow reduction as well as a 30% utility savings on homes in hot humid climates, also dry climates such as Denver and over steel containers.
- FACT: Homes coated in Las Vegas with 110F average July temperature reported 50% up to 60% savings on the TOTAL utility bill. One house had a bill for $103 for the month of July. 1400 sq.ft, with pool and 5 freezers along with electronics running constantly. A/C has not been turned on yet into August.
- FACT:With increased energy cost, a total house cost for application is paid with savings in 4 years or less.
- FACT:German Mechanical Engineer Study in Construction Physics made a study of a home coated with SUPER THERM and found the results to be 76% less energy compared to fiberglass and rock wool that passed through the walls coated with SUPER THERM to show the insulation effect as a comparison.
- FACT:Sony Corp. in partnership with the Japanese Government performed a study coating 430,000 sq.ft. of roofing in an industrial park with SUPER THERM. Rock wool was already in place for insulation. Result from energy cost savings was 1.06 year ROI payback or 13 months.
- FACT:Sony Corp had coated the roof and walls of one monitored building in their compound and found a 78% reduction in KW usage in the energy consumption of the building.
Super Therm Fleet/Mobile Coating
- UPS (United Parcel Service) Study -Trailers coated with Super Therm® were noted to be up to 30°F cooler than uncoated trailers. UPS also tested the durability of the coating; after 1 year – there was no noted deterioration of the coating or its fuel saving capabilities.
- Container report -Florida Dept. of Energy – Houston – The combined data indicates that the thermal energy necessary to cool the container coated with Super Therm® would require 46% to 52% less energy.
- Mexico Bus report - After using Super Therm® to coat the roof of the bus the rooftop temperature dropped 80°F – allowing the cooling system to run for only ½ the time to reach an ambient temp of 77°F inside the buses. By the end of the testing the Thermo King bus had become 30.5% more energy efficient.
- Denver Fleet Study - The results show a 20% fuel savings on ‘hot loads’ and 29% fuel savings on ‘cold loads’, plus cool down time was reduced by 44% -getting the trailers back on the road much quicker.
- Land Line article - On average, during testing, the trailers coated with Super Therm® used 30% less fuel than an uncoated trailer. With product and installation costs considered – the ROI runs less than a year. (This does not take into account the reduced maintenance costs and increased life expectancy of the cooling unit.)
- Energy Star Rating – energy star rating compares companies and indicates Super Therm® as top rated ceramic coating.
